15 February 2020 Utsjoki Finland. Utsjoella on vuodenaikaan nähden todella paljon lunta. Käytännössä kaikki kiirunan syömämaat ovat tunturien huippuja myöten paksun lumipeitteen alla. Tällaisissa olosuhteissa kiirunat seuraavat porotokkia ja hyödyntävät porojen kaivuutyön. Kiitokset Jame Helanderille ja Olli Immoselle! Picture of the week shows a male Ptarmigan following the reindeer to get easier access to the food. Reindeer dig through the snow to the vegetation and Ptarmigans take advantage of exposed food!
