Viikon kuvassa on vanha maakotka lumisateessa. Utajärvellä jatkamme kotkien ruokintaa maaliskuun lopulle asti ja Kuusamossa huhtikuun loppuun asti. Image of the week is Golden Eagle. Golden Eagles are visiting daily at our baiting sites in Kuusamo and Utajärvi. During the March there are usually also some White-tailed Eagles visiting the feeding sites. In Kuusamo there is normally one adult pair visiting the site. There it would be possible to have a morning photography session with Hawk Owl and then go to Eagle hide for rest of the day. In Kuusamo there is also beautiful male Black Woodpecker visiting the site - so while waiting the eagles to come one can photograph Siberian Jay, Siberian Tit, Willow Tit, Jay, Great Spotted Woodpecker and Black Woodpecker! In Kuusamo eagle feeding is going on until end of April.

In Utajärvi we spend the whole day in Eagle hide, but there are chances to have many eagles in one day and also Ravens. We will continue our eagle feeding in Utajärvi until end of March. Please don´t hesitate to contact Finnature office if you would like to come to photograph Finnish birds this winter!
