in ”Wildlife photographer of the year” - competition arranged by BBC Wildlife Magazine and British Museum.

The attached photo of a Ptarmigan in flight brought Markus Varesvuo two prizes in the acclaimed International Nature Photography Competition GDT in Germany: second place in the bird photography series and the overall prize of the audience.
